Rescuers with Diasozo Animal Rescue (DAR Animal Rescue) in Greece are used to helping dogs in need, but a sweet pup named Nolly took even the most seasoned rescuers by surprise.
The rescue shared on YouTube that the rescuers were driving to drop off a foster dog at his new home when they spotted a stray pup in the road: Nolly.
Of course, they couldn’t leave her there so they stopped and gathered up the sweet pooch to give her a fresh start in life.
They explained in a video that the two-year-old dog was found between two villages with no houses around. Due to her condition and location, they felt she either didn’t have an owner at all or her owner wasn’t that great.
Rescuers were able to get Nolly to a vet where it was discovered that she was suffering from several ticks along with a life-threatening infection. Without care, she would’ve died.
Thankfully, her infection cleared up with the proper treatment, which included surgery.
Now, DAR Animal Rescue is working to find Nolly the perfect forever home and they’re confident that they will. If they hadn’t stumbled upon Nolly on the road, she likely would’ve died out there all alone from her infection.
