A SKELETAL dog dubbed the “thinnest ever” has made a miraculous recovery – to walk its new owner down the aisle.
William, a greyhound-saluki cross, was abandoned by his cruel owners and was so weak he couldn’t stand.
RSPCA officers were shocked when they discovered the pooch in September 2014 weighing just 3.2kg instead of the healthy 10kg he should’ve been.
He was so weak he had to be carried around in a towel and looked like a skeleton when he was brought into the charity’s Coventry branch.
But according to the Sunday People, William has now made a full recovery to walk his owner Rachel Butler down the aisle.
Dressed in a tweed collar and bow tie, the adorable dog stole the show when she wed Chris Mallett. Rachel said: “Having William at the ceremony made us both feel so proud at how far he has come.
“When he was brought into the RSPCA’s care he was close to death. But on our wedding day his tail did not stop wagging.”

The newlywed was working at the RSPCA as a press officer when William was taken in after he was found lying in his faeces and urine.
She was smitten after seeing photos of the pup, and convinced her now-hubby he would make a great companion for their 11-year-old West Highland terrier Harry at their Derby home.
Rachel told the paper: “When William moved in he was very innocent but as the weeks went on he started to build up his confidence.
“Then one day he sneaked up towards me, pulled my slipper off my foot and ran away with it. We loved seeing his cheeky side come out.
“He is very confident these days and he makes us laugh every day.”
William is now aged two and weighs a healthy 23kg. His original owners were found and charged.
